Anchor Enrichment is a growing K–12 homeschool enrichment program based in Arizona, focused on partnering with parents to support students through flexible, personalized education.
The organization offers core academic subjects, STEM programs, life skills, electives, fine arts, and hands-on learning experiences for homeschool families. Students attend classes on campus while continuing their learning journey from home throughout the week.
As the program continued to grow, Anchor expanded beyond a small homeschool group into a much larger educational operation — serving hundreds of families, managing dozens of teachers, and building a growing administrative team.
Today, the organization supports around 200 families, works with 32 teachers, and continues expanding with new Pre-K and micro-school programs.
Before DreamClass: Multiple Systems and Manual Processes
Before switching to DreamClass, Anchor Enrichment relied on a combination of tools to keep operations running.
The team used Sawyer for class registration, QuickBooks for invoicing, spreadsheets for tracking enrollments, and manual emails for communication with parents.
As enrollment numbers increased, those disconnected systems became difficult to manage.
One of the biggest challenges was billing and ESA funding management.
Because many homeschool families use ESA funds, every invoice needed detailed class descriptions attached to it. That meant the Anchor team had to manually create course items inside QuickBooks, generate invoices, download PDF files, attach them to emails, and send them individually to parents.
Even when the organization was serving far fewer families, the process was already becoming overwhelming.
As Misti explained during the interview:
“We had spreadsheets keeping track of what kids are in what classes and all their contact names.”
The team knew they needed something more centralized.
Searching for a Better System
Anchor was not simply looking for another registration platform.
They needed an operational hub that could support the full homeschool experience — from registration and invoicing to schedules, communication, attendance, teacher access, and parent visibility.
Misti already had experience building homeschool systems in the past. Years earlier, she had helped create a custom-built homeschool platform because nothing on the market could support the organization’s needs at the time.
So when the team discovered DreamClass, they immediately understood its potential.
Instead of spending thousands of dollars developing another custom system, they found a platform flexible enough to adapt to homeschool workflows.
According to Misti:
“As soon as we found DreamClass, we were like, this could work.”
That early flexibility was one of the reasons the team moved forward quickly without heavily comparing other software options.
Bringing Everything Into One Place
One of the first things that stood out to Anchor was how DreamClass connected multiple operational processes into a single system.
Parents could finally log in and view schedules, invoices, registrations, and class information in one place.
Teachers could access class rosters, see student enrollments, communicate with families, and track attendance.
Administrators could monitor registrations, billing, notes, schedules, and parent communication without constantly moving between platforms.
For Denna Walker, teacher visibility became one of the most important improvements.
She explained that having teachers independently access their own class lists and communicate directly with families was a major operational advantage compared to the tools they previously used.
The scheduling experience also became significantly easier for families.
Instead of manually checking spreadsheets or emails, parents could log in and immediately see where students needed to be throughout the day.
As Misti described it:
“Parents being able to see their schedule… that was something we desperately needed.”
Solving the ESA Billing Challenge
For homeschool organizations like Anchor, professional invoicing is not optional.
Families using ESA funding require clear documentation, organized invoices, and detailed class descriptions that meet state requirements.
Before DreamClass, creating those invoices involved repetitive manual work inside QuickBooks.
DreamClass simplified that process by allowing Anchor to connect registration, class information, and billing into a single workflow.
Parents can now register for classes, view invoices, submit ESA-related documentation, and manage payments through a more streamlined process.
The system also supports flexible payment options, allowing families either to pay immediately or register first and complete ESA payment workflows afterward.
For Anchor, this operational improvement became one of the most valuable parts of the platform.
As Misti shared:
“We’ve never had one rejected because of the way our invoices are set up.”
That level of consistency helped Anchor strengthen trust with families while reducing administrative stress for the team.
Communication That Matches Real Homeschool Operations
Communication was another area where DreamClass transformed day-to-day workflows.
Instead of manually maintaining email lists or copying parent emails into external platforms, teachers and administrators can communicate directly through class-based rosters connected to live enrollments.
This became especially useful for events, activities, and field trips.
If Anchor organizes a special activity, the team can create it as a class, invoice families correctly, and instantly contact everyone involved.
For Denna, this connection between enrollment and communication is essential.
During the interview, she described manually managing class lists as:
“A disaster waiting to happen.”
DreamClass helped remove much of that risk by keeping communication tied directly to active enrollments and schedules.
Supporting a More Professional Homeschool Experience
One of the strongest themes throughout Anchor’s story was professionalism.
The organization wanted to move beyond the limitations of a loosely organized homeschool setup and create an experience that felt structured, reliable, and scalable for families.
DreamClass helped them achieve that.
According to Misti:
“DreamClass has helped us be professional.”
That professionalism now appears across many parts of the organization:
- Organized schedules for students and parents
- Structured ESA invoicing
- Teacher access to student information
- Centralized communication
- Streamlined registration workflows
- Better operational visibility for administrators
As Anchor continues growing, DreamClass gives the team the operational foundation needed to support more families without creating chaos behind the scenes.

Growing With Confidence
Since adopting DreamClass, Anchor Enrichment has expanded both its educational offerings and its internal team.
The organization now includes five administrative staff members, additional billing support, expanded homeschool programs, and new learning formats like micro-school extension days.
At the same time, the team continues exploring new ways to improve its workflows inside DreamClass — including gradebook usage, assignment management, communication templates, and additional homeschool-focused enhancements.
But the biggest result is already clear:
Anchor no longer operates through disconnected tools, spreadsheets, PDF invoices, and manual processes.
Instead, the organization now has a centralized system that supports the way modern homeschool programs actually function.
And as homeschool education continues growing across the United States, Anchor Enrichment is positioned to scale with confidence while continuing to deliver a more organized and professional experience for families.
